St. Patrick's Day Parade & Activities

TODAY, EVERYBODY'S GREEN!

Easton Main Street celebrates this special day on the 17th of each year, with a full agenda of activities. Today, everybody is green! Below is the day's events, venue locations, and times. All activities & events are FREE!

This year the event is celebrating it's 30th Anniversary!

Ecumenical Church Service                                      1:30 - 2:15PM

Oasis Coventry Church (Old Catholic Church on Goldsborough St.)

A traditional St. Patrick's Day church service.

Traditional Irish Tea                                                    2:00 - 4:00PM

Historical Society Auditorium   | 17 S. Washington Street.

Experience a traditional Irish tea with all the trimmings: soda bread, scones, cookies, mini tea sandwiches and of course freshly brewed hot tea! Complimentary for the day!

Children's Games and Activities                                3:00 - 4:00PM

Talbot County Court House Lawn |   11 North Washington Street

Potato Sack Races, Book Balance, Children's Potato Races, Crafts, featuring Carlos the Juggler!

"Large Leprechauns" Potato Race                                    4:15PM

Route: Washington to Goldsborough, to Harrison, to Dover St.

This is the ADULT version of the potato race. In 2012 the potato Race will relay around the downtown block of Washington, Goldsborough, Harrison & Dover Streets. Relays will occur at the street intersections. The start and finish will be located at the intersection of E. Dover & Washington Streets. Teams must form at 3:45pm at the start.

Form a team and join us for the 2011 race! Last year's participants included Martinis Restaurant, Boy Scout Troop #532, Easton Utilities, The Wedge, and Talbot County DSS.

Potato Race Team Registration (PDF)

St. Patrick's Day Parade                                                         4:30 PM

Route: N. Washington St., right onto N. Harrison St. (past Talbottown),

right onto East Dover St.

Led by the famous Decorated Golf Carts & the "Highland Trio" Bag Pipers! Dress up or come as you are to enjoy this year's parade which will be bigger then before. This year's parade will be extended to run past Talbottown shopping center (same as 2011).

Volunteers NEEDED! Join the fun for 1-2

hours during the St. Patrick's Day event

and help keep this event around for years

to come!

Volunteers needed for:

  • Traditional Tea Service - Set up and break down, Tea Servers, Donation of Food for Tea Service.
  • Parade “Ushers” – help maintain the safety of all during the parade. Help prevent attendee overflow into the parade pathway and brief parade participants on appropriate method of passing out candy.
  • Post Parade Activities - TBA!
