The Annual CARNIVAL and 4th of JULY CELEBRATION is sponsored by Easton Main Street in partnership with the Avalon Foundation. Fordays leading up to and including the 4th of July and Sunday July 5th, Easton Main Street presents a Carnival – the major fund-raiser for the next year’s fireworks. Rides for all ages, games of chance, and special rates for tickets attract thousands to the evenings of excitement. The 2009 Carnival runs from Tuesday, June 30th through Sunday July 5th. The carnival grounds are located off Marlboro Road extended, behind the TARGET Store in Waterside Village. Super rides and carnival food, games and prizes. One price bracelet nights are available Tuesday through Friday; $2.00 off coupons will be available at locations to be announced. 2009 Carnival Hours of Operation: Tuesday, June 30 6pm - 11pm Wednesday, July 1 6pm - 11pm Thursday, July 2 6pm - 11pm Friday, July 3 6pm - 11pm Saturday, July 4 4pm - 11pm Sunday, July 5 4pm - 11pm On the 4th of July itself, the traditional Independence Day Celebration is a major community event. Local non-profit groups provide concession food booths, an annual fundraiser. Several musical acts are presented on stage, asll as a patriotic program to honor veterans. At dusk, the Mid-Shore’s finest Fireworks display lights up Easton. Programing, shows and fireworks are free. Saturday, July 4, 2009 Celebration – Join friends and family for this annual tradition of community and patriotism.
